The Element Downtown in Asheville, North Carolina is adding a Sales & Marketing Manager to its team. This position earns a competitive wage of $56K - $63K + commissions. Knowledge of Marriott Systems very beneficial.

Your Role
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for increasing the base business for the Element Downtown Asheville property. Using and developing an extensive knowledge of local markets, you will identify new opportunities for capturing leads and building a pool of repeat clients. As a Marketing Manager, identifying and managing digital marketing opportunities will be key to the hotel’s success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Marriott Systems a plus
• Prior experience with room and event sales
• Experience effectively marketing, educating, and selling products and solutions
• Experience with wedding sales and catering
• Problem-solving skills
• Able to thrive individually and as part of a team
• Well-organized and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgement under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Computer literate
