Full-time/ Sign On Bonus available for eligible new hire who has not worked at Baptist Health or its affiliates in the preceding 12 months.
The Environmental Service Worker I is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms and support areas, identifying and reporting needed repairs of the building and equipment.
JOB DUTIES – Cleans and disinfects occupied and unoccupied patient rooms and support areas. And participates in additional cleaning projects as required. Collects and disposes of trash. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Maintains environmental infection prevention standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
- Must have ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Minimum one year experience Environmental Service within healthcare facility preferred.
- Knowledge or experience of infection control standards preferred.
Supervised by the Environmental Services supervisor. Performance evaluations are conducted at the end of the three-month probationary period by the Director of Environmental Services. Evaluations, thereafter on a yearly basis.
