JOB SUMMARY:

At Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, a Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways and public areas of the hotel, servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with the hotels policies and procedures. Stocking housekeeping carts with room supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. This is a physically demanding position that will include bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling repeatedly while cleaning assigned guest rooms in an efficient and timely manner.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Mops, dusts, vacuums, and removes trash

· Keeps public access areas clean and maintains them according to employer standards

· Monitors and reports on the inventory of cleaning supplies

· Keeps housekeeping storage room in a neat and organized fashion

· Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs to supervisor

· Aids maintenance staff and other staff members as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience: Some previous work-related experience is preferred but not required

· Flexible Schedule: Needs to have a flexible schedule to be able to work some day shifts, some evening shifts and must be available to work on weekends.

SKILLS:

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally, and in writing

· Active listening

· Ability to exceed expectations of cleanliness and service for hotel guests

· Ability to multi-task

· Team player

· Knowledge of cleanliness standards
