Housekeeping Room Attendant – Full Time

Position Description:

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms while following the hotels standards for quality and cleanliness. We are currently looking for seasonal and permanent help.

Schedule:

The company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days,

starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

Primary Responsibilities Included, but not limited to:

  • Clean assigned rooms according to property standards. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpet, washing dishes and dusting furniture.
  • Place and restock usable items in the suite including paper items, soap, and towels, according to hotel Standards.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner.
  • Maintain and restock housekeeping cart each day.
  • Know hotel emergency procedures.
  • Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys, or keys left by guests in suite.
  • Bring all lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper's office for logging and storage.
  • Report immediately to the Executive Housekeeper any out of the ordinary situation in the guests' suite, including unreported pets, parties in the suite, unusually dirty suites or a vacant suite when the room is thought to be occupied.
  • Accommodates guest special requests courteously.
  • Answer guest questions regarding the local area facilities and services.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned; reasonable requests from a supervisor.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience in hospitality/resort preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive, energetic attitude at all times.
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • May be asked to work overtime.
  • Will be required to work in a fast pace environment.

Special Requirements:

  • Prompt and regular attendance.
  • Act as a team leader/player with all levels of staff.
  • Professional behavior and appearance.
  • Participate in all mandatory job training and meetings.
  • Adhere to property policies and procedures, the Employee Handbook, and/or other property or Larkin Hospitality documents.
  • Immediately respond to and/or report any suspicious activities, threats, robberies, injuries, etc. by guests, associates, or others to the proper authorities as appropriate and to the GM.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
