How You Will Make An Impact

• 
  

  Performs the activities stipulated in this job description or any other duties that are assigned by the Housekeeping/Laundry Manager.

• 
  
  Clean floors: includes vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, damp and or wet mopping, stripping wax and disinfecting.
• 
  
  Clean and/or polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, heating and cooling units, etc. in resident rooms, recreational areas and offices as instructed.
• 
  
  Clean, wash sanitize and polish resident and common area bathroom fixtures.
• 
  
  Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• 
  

  Other duties as assigned.

The Skills You Will Need

• 
  

  Empathy and the capacity to care for the resident’s social, emotional, physical, and mental concerns.

• 
  
  A team player who is adaptable to modifications in the day-to-day operations to meet the needs of the facility.
• 
  
  Must be knowledgeable in and demonstrate the ability to maintain the physical environment in a clean, safe and comfortable condition. Prolonged standing and walking. Requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching and requires moving heavy furniture.
• 
  
  High School graduate or GED preferred.
• 
  
  Previous work experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• 
  
  18 years of age or older.
