Housekeeper - Central Regional Hospital
Job description
We are recruiting for Housekeepers for all shifts at Central Regional Hospital in Butner. Position will be responsible for picking up all trash from assigned areas and disposing of it properly throughout the shift. If needed, they will help with set-ups for patient activities. They may also be asked to perform a variety of duties in the cleaning and sanitizing of patients rooms, offices, bathrooms, and showers. Cleaning duties will include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitizing hard surfaces. Also responsible for cleaning walls, woodwork and light fixtures. Performs duties relating to the cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms, ensuring they are maintained in sanitary condition, replenishing paper supplies and soap as needed. The employee will eo empty trash receptacles and other related duties as requested by their supervisor or management. Duties may include physical activities such as moving furniture.
These are full-time positions and eligible for the full State benefits package. Work schedules include rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled. These positions are deemed MANDATORY during adverse weather events, which will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
Work schedules include:
7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday-Friday, rotating weekends/holidays)
2:30pm - 11:00pm (Monday - Friday, rotating weekends/holidays)
10:30 pm - 7:00am (Sunday - Thursday, rotating holidays)

Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures, cleaning equipment and supplies.
Must have the ability to comprehend and communicate effectively and able to follow oral and written instructions in the English language.
ADA physical requirements will be discussed in detail during the interview process but, at a minimum, include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Management prefers candidates with two years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job.
