Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Summary:

We are looking for a professional Housekeeper able of attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

• Status: Non-exempt- hourly
• Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor
• Job Title Supervised: Not Applicable

Essential Job Duties are but not limited to:

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing, stripping and waxing floors
• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
• Requires working in damp, dusty, and dirty areas. Must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as required. (Seldom)
• Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
• Plan work schedule for major takes.
• Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, windowsills, etc.
• Empty trash containers daily.
• Wet mop floors in all residential areas and bathrooms. Damp mop all areas as needed.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily
• Check all vacant rooms daily to keep refresh
• Clean all air vents
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken windowpanes, missing nuts or screws, beds need repair, etc.)
• Completely strop and recoat all floors areas when necessary and as scheduled.
• Check entire area for spills, water, etc. periodically
• Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
• Ensure all office, dormitories, houses, classroom and general facility are cared for and inspected according to standards.
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

• Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
• Customer-oriented and friendly
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Working quickly without compromising quality
• Knowledge of English language
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
• Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing stairs, reaching overhead required.
• Valid State Driver’s License

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $12.00 - $12.01 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are sanitized daily for public safety.
