Description
Under the general supervision of the HR Manager:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Ensure required HR systems and paper files are kept updated in an accurate and efficient manner
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly report(s) as required
- Facilitate the internal job posting and external recruiting process
- Track plant hourly attendance and work with supervisors on disciplinary steps/documents
- Liaison between employees and corporate benefits
- Provide direct support for hourly payroll
- Facilitate both the on/off-boarding processes
- Coordinate with health and safety for injury reporting and claim management
- Other duties as assigned by other departments in the plant
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum five (5) years recent experience in a Human Resources related role preferably in manufacturing
- Must perform all duties in a confidential and ethical manner
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a team setting
- Detail and process oriented with strong emphasis on data and record management
- Ability to operate in a highly dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills, combined with good analytical, problem solving, organizational and administrative skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems
- Preferred experience in a unionized workplace but not required
