Human Resources Administrator – South Burlington, VT:

Job Description:

• Administers the organization's benefit programs and consults with and advises employees on their eligibility for these and other related benefits. Maintains benefits records and documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage. Distributes plan documents and employee communications relating to benefits.
• Key point person for Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, workers compensations claims, state and federal compliance reporting, and state employment status. Management of Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability claims and education of staff when these benefits are applicable as well as Nationwide Multistate Licensing System.
• Assists new employee with their benefits during their onboarding, this includes any initial paperwork. Follows up as appropriate with staff as they become benefit eligible and assist with benefits education and continued onboarding.
• Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
• Processes and administers disability paperwork, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), and leave of absences including medical, personal, disability and Family Medical Leave Act.
• Manages the annual 401(k) census, audit, and 5500 filing.
• Assists with the open enrollment process.
• Performs quality checks on benefits-related data and compensation data.
• Key person for the 2023 Human Capital Management System conversion.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Deliver outstanding service that is in alignment with the Credit Union’s Service Promises.

Requirements:

• Two to five years of similar or related experience.
• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
• A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
