Here's How You’ll Make an Impact:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR functions including administration, employee relations, policy, procedure development, and will be a key contributor in recruiting, talent acquisition methods, strategies, design, and onboarding. In this role you will interact and support the HR Manager, Senior Leadership, and their departments in fulfilling HR needs within the Fine Papers Plants. A strong core foundation of HR knowledge and the ability to balance priorities will be key to operating successfully in the role.
What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:
The HR Team is evolving and modernizing. This means your job will grow and change overtime as we progress. As we see it for right now however, here are the activities we want you to tackle.
- Provide HR support for all aspects of work from the Human Resources Department, the Human Resources Manager and Herff Jones leaders and employees.
- Assist in recruiting functions as needed for the plant (posting, sourcing, interviewing, and offer process).
- Partner with the corporate recruiting function on industry best practices and Herff Jones process improvements.
- Work with talent acquisition to review applicants to evaluate position requirements and manage the selection procedures to ensure an interview process and proper placement of motivated and qualified candidates is achieved.
- Support the Human Resources Department with the onboarding of applicants and new hire data entry.
- Complete weekly payroll processing for 225+ employees and temporary workers.
- Support all employee events (recognition, annual celebrations) as needed.
- Partner with HR Manager and Plant Leadership on talent management strategy, company culture initiatives, employee engagement, and leadership development trainings.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish very strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relative field preferred.
- HR certification preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in a recruiting capacity or similar HR role.
- Strong understanding of HR tools such as an ATS, HRIS, timekeeping and payroll processing systems.
- Knowledge of Federal and State Human Resource related laws and regulations.
- Must be comfortable with conflict resolution.
- Proven success to effectively communicate (listening, writing and verbal) across all levels of an organization.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office and learning new systems/technology with understanding some work is processed manually.
