The HR Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs and implementation of best practices to support achievement of corporate business objectives. This role must be able to balance overall corporate needs, relationship building, employee support, and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations.

Essential Functions:

n
    n
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance management; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • n
  • Develops and implements employee activities designed to improve culture and relationships and become a driving force in maintaining a cooperative and positive work environment
  • n
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with leadership and staff in order to facilitate the resolution of employment related issues that may arise. Partners with leadership and staff to handle employee relations issues, facilitate building strong relationships, communicate effectively; to deliver service excellence, and offers the applicable solutions to leadership and employees
  • n
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • n
  • Consults with managers to discover position requirements and specific job objectives
  • n
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
  • n
  • Facilitates managers with the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
  • n
  • Communicates with the TA team and/or candidates as needed and coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers
  • n
  • Assists in creating and updating job descriptions
  • n
  • Developments new and updates procedures as required
  • n
  • Coordinates and monitors all aspects of HR operational administrative workflows, to include but not limited of pre-onboarding to termination, with minimal supervision
  • n
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • n
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Education:

n
    n
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • n
n
    n
  • 4+ years of recruiting or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • n
  • aPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • n
n
    n
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required, including Microsoft SharePoint
  • n
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure with attention to detail
  • n
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • n
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels throughout the organization and with outside candidates
  • n
  • Independent thinking and good judgement
  • n
  • Ability to work quickly and proficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • n
