HR Generalist
Job Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting employee lifecycle functions including recruitment efforts, total rewards, performance management, and associate development. This position will partner with the HR Team, managers and associates to assist with employee relations matters and drive a culture of engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with recruiter to coordinate recruitment efforts and new hire onboarding processes
- Advises and supports management in resolution of employee relations issues
- Provides support in administration of employee benefits including but not limited to benefits, vacation, sick time, etc.
- Conducts exit interviews to solicit associate feedback, diagnose turnover trends and devise resolution to turnover trends.
- Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Utilizes company HCM systems to ensure all personnel changes and updates are tracked, reported and processed accordingly.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding procedural, benefit or policy changes
- Partners with managers to ensure legal compliance with leaves of absence including but not limited FMLA, STD, ADA.
- Acts as liaison between managers and payroll team to ensure all associates are paid properly and in compliance with state and federal law.
- Assess performance gaps in management and develops necessary training programs to assist in leadership development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment law and compliance requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
- Experience working in warehouse and distribution environment preferred
- Ability to diagnose, understand and troubleshoot issues quickly
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration preferred or
- 1 - 3 years of HR generalist related experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Experience working with HCM systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Starting Wage: $65,000 - 75,000
Starting Wage: $65,000 - $75,000
