The Human Resource System Administrator will maintain the integrity and reliability of the organization’s global and domestic HR systems, currently ADP WorkforceNow and Orange, ensuring both applications and data meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the organization. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Director and works closely with key stakeholders in the organization – HR, Finance, Operations, and IT, in addition to supporting end users.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining global HR data and systems, as well as coordinating with data stakeholders in the organization to ensure data that is provided is consistent and compliant in downstream applications.
  • Collaborates with HR staff, key stakeholders, and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term system and data strategy; develops a plan to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, systems and better manage data to meet those objectives.
  • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS and meet business needs.
  • Collaborates with other HR staff to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
  • Research and tackle problems related to system functionality, user security access, and data integrity and compliance.
  • Documents and maintains core HR system configuration, including mapping of key data used by other business processes and data consumers.
  • Supports organizational needs for reports and analytics.
  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Provides user training and hands-on support.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology; recommends new solutions and manages roll out as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Familiarity with Jira a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of functional analysis and system design, database management.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems, ADP WorkforceNow preferred.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience with HR business systems highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR a plus.
