Pay rate: $23-25/hour

Job Overview:

The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates a variety of Human Resources administrative duties. The Human Resources Coordinator will work effectively to ensure the efficient daily operations of the Human Resources department under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides exceptional customer service to our staff; provides prompt resolution to requests and questions as directed by the HR Manager
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll; responds to employee inquiries, generates reports, ensures maintenance and accuracy of HRIS
  • Completes admin tasks related to the employee life cycle such as distributing requisitions, posting positions, initial contact with candidates, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, and termination
  • Organizes and maintains HR documents and files both electronically and physically
  • Processes documentation and prepares reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, payroll, etc.)
  • Maintains the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of HR files, records, and documentation
  • Coordinates HR projects (meetings, trainings, etc.); documents activity
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process; reviews performance appraisals and provides feedback, as assigned
  • Completes surveys relevant to HR department as assigned
  • Attends meetings and seminars as requested and/or assigned
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, wellness fairs, job fairs, and retirement celebrations
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Able to work collaboratively and autonomously; flexible thinker with ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities and positive employee relations
  • Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives
  • Working understanding of human resource and payroll principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
  • Ability to communicate employee benefits
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; to include active listening skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to develop procedures for HR related activities and projects
  • Reliable transportation

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resources administrative role
