Job description
Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, analysis, and affirmative action.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
- Develop and maintain affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from database.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to the management team.
- Respond to and investigate employee relation issues.
- Represent the company for unemployment claims.
- Facilitate and / or provide training (including orientation) to workforce.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years' experience in Human Resources, preferable in a Generalist role
- HR Professional Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) Preferred
- Working knowledge on human resources practices and labor laws in the areas of recruitment, AA/EEO, employee relations, compensation, training, benefits, leave of absences, compliance, and wage and hour.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet short deadlines
