New Pig is currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Recruiter to add to its expanding HR team. This position is primarily responsible for recruitment, orientation and onboarding, and tracking/deploying training, but will assist with other HR duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of high volume, full-lifecycle recruitment, particularly within a multi-shift, multi-location manufacturing environment.

This position is located onsite at our headquarters in Tipton, PA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering the recruitment process for both exempt and non-exempt positions at all levels of the organization; maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Administering the temporary staff recruitment process; coordinating assignments for varied shifts/locations; reviewing and approving timecards
  • Conducting all activities associated with recruitment lifecycle, including but not limited to gathering requirements, posting ads, performing pre-screens, leading interview process, and providing guidance in hiring decisions
  • Ensuring that all pre-employment screenings are satisfactorily completed and assist in completing as necessary
  • Managing the onboarding process, including conducting new hire orientation and making continual improvements to the process
  • Coordinating and managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and serving as main contact for audits involving training
  • Attending and/or hosting career fairs to promote the company and create a pipeline of applicants
  • Contributing to ongoing process improvement in relation to human resource policies and procedures
  • Ensuring company directives and policies are followed, as well as maintaining adherence to state and federal laws and regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Assisting with additional human resource functions as needed, including special events, miscellaneous filing and scanning, data entry, answering employee and employment-related correspondence, participation in HR-led training programs, etc.
  • Providing backup to payroll which includes performing timely and accurate preparation and processing of weekly payroll in compliance with various laws.
  • Performing all other Human Resources or Administrative duties as assigned or directed
  • Adhering to New Pig's Safety, Environment, and Quality Standards

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, 1-3 years prior HR experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions. Recruitment experience within a manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
  • Experience with onboarding processes
  • Experience supporting managers and employees via interpretation and application of policies
  • Experience with other human resource duties such as training preferred
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, HR systems)
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Ability to work with high sense of urgency and motivation
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Ability to collaborate with peers to identify process improvements
