Colorado’s leading PRN medical staffing company with over 175 employees, our HQ is located in Colorado and we are now expanding into Nebraska! Our business is a critical partner to assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab and hospital service providers and we are currently experiencing rapid expansion.

The Human Resources Manager position will be fully responsible for all Human Resource operations and management at the new ASAP-Medical Staffing office in Omaha, Nebraska. The Human Resources Manager will directly report to the Chief Operating Officer of ASAP-Medical Staffing.

The responsibilities of the HR Manager will include, but is not exclusively limited to the specific responsibilities:

  • Maintains, develops, recommends, and implements company program objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinating with executive management in strategic business decisions that involve employees.
  • Ensuring compliance of all employees in regard to federal, state, local laws and regulations and Joint Commission standards.
  • Leads and facilitates the employee relations program and related functions.
  • Enforcing company policies and procedures and providing all disciplinary actions.
  • Conducting verbal and written constructive counseling to employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Resolving of all employee complaints, grievances, and conflict situations.
  • Handling of all employee investigations in accordance with management of the facilities we are contracted with, including local, state and federal authorities.
  • Decision making and delivery of all employee terminations.
  • Develops and pursues new goals and objectives for improvement in areas of employee relations.
  • Responsible for approving all new employees to start working; Verify employee information, credentials, licenses, certifications, evaluations and other required documents.
  • Oversees weekly processing of all payroll operations.
  • Entering new employees into Questco payroll system, and sending them payroll registration information.
  • Verifying employee federal I-9s documents.
  • Adjusting payroll timesheets for incentives and bonuses, paid sick time, reimbursements, deductions and any other required adjustments.
  • Inputting termination requests in Questco payroll system.
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Adjusting employee wages and updating contact information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Conduct all employee annual evaluations, and wage reviews; Evaluating employees on the performance standards of communication, customer service, quality of work and initiative, dependability and attendance, job compliance, and work performance.
  • Answering all advanced Human Resources related questions and inquiries from employees and responding in a timely manner via phone call, email or text messages.
  • Conducting periodic audits on employee information, credentials, licenses, certifications, evaluations and other required documents.
  • Being actively involved in recruitment of internal office staff positions:
  • Preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
  • Assisting executive management in hiring and training of internal office staff by: Creating job descriptions and posting job ads.
  • Maintaining the hiring process by conducting initial phone screenings, virtual and in person job interviews.
  • Developing and facilitating training for multiple internal office staff roles.
  • Creating all First Report of Injury reports for Workers Compensation cases and providing answers to follow up inquiries.
  • Creating employment verification letters and completing verbal and written employment verification requests.
  • On-Call rotation is required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 1-2 years of HR experience (bonus if within the medical industry)
  • College degree (or equivalent in experience)
  • Excellent relationship-building and leadership skills

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of US employment laws, rules and regulations, methods and techniques in specialty areas including but not limited to FLSA, FLMA, ADA, OFCCP, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII, Joint Commission
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

Pay

  • 45-55K Salary
