Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Human Resources Manager in our Talent Management Department for our Columbus, OH location.


Our Company is searching for a manager to join a fun and talented group of HR Professionals. Our HR Manager will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Employee Relations, HR Administration and Switchboard team. The person in this role will lead investigations and will be involved with disciplinary and termination decisions. Other responsibilities include managing Position Descriptions for the Company, keeping up to date with employment law & updating the Associate Handbook, development of the associate Rewards & Recognition program, and helping to manage Total Compensation.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related degree
  • Five (5) years' experience working in Human Resources administration
  • Previous management experience is a plus
  • This position requires a (S)PHR certification or SHRM-(S)CP or a Personal Development Plan to achieve one within 24 months of beginning this position
  • This position requires a high level of confidentiality and discretion while performing job tasks
  • This position requires leadership skills and ability to direct the activities of others
  • This position requires intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) It requires the ability to quickly grasp new computer related functions
  • This position requires the ability to effectively problem solve and work independently of others
  • Prior experience working with ADP Workforce Now a plus, but not a requirement
