Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice has an excellent opportunity where you can provide HR services in a compassionate caring work environment.
The Sr. Director of Human Resource will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Plans and directs daily human resource operations including establishing and implementing human resource policies.
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
- Create a culture of belonging through our DEIB initiative.
- Responsible for implementation of SSRCH safety program and initiatives.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues.
- Provides staff direction in matters of personnel policy and human resource issues.
- Reviews job description to ensure consistency with recruitment and hiring practices and to assure compliance with regulations.
- Oversees applicant tracking system and statistics necessary to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws.
- Reviews Family and Medical Leave requests for approval/denial and forwards to HR Generalist for administration
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- At least five years of human resource management experience required.
- Past health care experience preferred.
- HRIS experience. ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
