The Office of Human Resources (OHR), is seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Specialist 2. This position is based at 2 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia. OUR JOIN TEAM!!!
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Pay Grade: LUnder broad supervision, provides analysis, research and technical expertise in one or more areas of personnel. Designs, plans and conducts, from concept to completion, projects with significant impact on the agency. May serve as lead worker.Roles and Responsibilities: Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.Serves as job expert or organizational resources in assigned areas. Analyzes organizational, occupational, and industrial data to facilitate organizational function in order to provide technical information to business, industry, and government officials.Assesses needs in order to development position analysis, instruments, and materials. Serves as a technical liaison between business, industry and government agencies. Ensures organizational compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements. Evaluates positions, determines classification, exempt or non-exempt status, and compensation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of related experience in human resources.OROne (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Spec 1 (HRP020) or position equivalent.Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience: Master's degree in related area from an accredited college or university.PHR or SPHR.Five (5) years of demonstrate experience in conducting employee relations investigations, discrimination claims, grievances, and responding to EEOC and GCEO claims.
