Provide support with effective preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, Refrigeration, Restaurant, and Swimming Pool equipment systems on campus in support of campus programs and operations.

Anticipated Salary Range: $18.37 to $23.88 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as determined by the Facilities Services Department computer maintenance advisor program (TMA)
  • Respond to requests from campus requiring adjustments or repair to building equipment systems.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, industrial dishwashers, and Refrigeration rack systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors and complete all paperwork.
  • Assist with closed-loop water treatment.
  • Perform daily maintenance on the swimming pool chemical levels, mechanical issues, and accurate record keeping.
  • Daily quality assurance walk-through on all kitchens
  • Use the (TMA)work order management system to accept, and complete the work requests, generate purchase order numbers to purchase parts
  • Assist with HVAC preventive maintenance, order and replace filters, grease bearings keep mechanical rooms clean.
  • Participate in our 24-hour on-call program.
  • Approximately 60 percent of your time will be kitchen equipment 40 percent will be on Campus HVAC preventive maintenance and assisting with service calls.
  • Perform other duties the supervisor may assign.

Required Qualifications:
High school plus a minimum of two years of related experience or equivalent specialized training/education; Universal EPA Certification; certified Pool Operator certificate is required within 90 days of employment; Mech-4 License required after the first year of employment; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds; ability to think critically and solve problems; good judgment; excellent organizational and customer service skills; strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems; ability to operate standard office equipment and small hand tools. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado Colleges motor vehicle insurance carrier.Physical requirements include finger and wrist dexterity and hand/eye coordination to perform keyboard functions; moderate physical effort (usually lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds); walking, standing, carrying of loads up and downstairs, reaching and/or grasping, stooping, kneeling, bending, crawling, and crouching, pushing and/or pulling; must work outdoors in all weather conditions; exposure to noisy or dusty conditions, mechanical, electrical and/or other hazards chemicals and solvents
