WTG Gas Processing, LP is a mid-stream company that gathers and processes natural gas. We own and operate natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, treating facilities, and gas processing plants. We are seeking qualified and motivated I/E Technicians in our Midland/Stanton/Big Spring and Midkiff areas.
The I&E Technician would provide instrumentation, electrical, and automation support and maintenance for our natural gas treating, compression, and processing facilities to insure reliable, safe, and efficient operations.

Job Responsibilities
- Implements safe work practices ensuring safety for employees, the public, the environment, and the equipment.
- Provide technical knowledge and decision-making capabilities to troubleshoot and repair a variety of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems.
- Responsible for ensuring all safety shutdowns, controls, transmitters, recorders, gas chromatographs, analyzers, and measurement facilities are calibrated and functioning properly in a timely manner.
- Will be familiar with reciprocating compression facilities, turbo expanders, pumps, amine treaters, glycol dehydration equipment, mole sieve dehy beds, and other equipment associated with the gas processing facility.
- Will assist in developing scopes of work and cost estimates for various projects.
- Will procure necessary materials and instrumentation to ensure safe and reliable operations.
- Well versed in installing, managing, troubleshooting various communication systems such as Ethernet, Modbus, and serial.
- Will be familiar with ABB Totaflow and WinCCU/PCCU equipment and software.
- Will be able to direct and supervise contract labor and other I/E contractors as needed.
- Will adhere to applicable industry codes and standards as well as company safety and operations procedures.
- Will communicate and work with other departments such as maintenance, operations, environmental, construction, and measurement to accomplish various tasks and projects.
- Working knowledge of the Honeywell HC900 platform, Honeywell Experion Distributed Control, Allen Bradley, and SCADA Systems is a plus.
- Will be an active participant in WTG’s Process Safety Management program.
- Will be responsible for completing job dispatch forms for I/E work performed.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of relevant I/E experience.
- Selt-starter and ability to work unsupervised.
- Good problem solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good knowledge of P&ID’s, Electrical Diagrams, One-lines, Cause and Effect Diagrams, and Process Safety Management.
- Knowledge of industry codes: IEEE, NEC, ISA, NFPA.
- Knowledge of 480V 3ph systems.
- Good driving record.
- Good computer skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Must be physically able to perform all duties required: walking over uneven terrain, bending, moving from ground level to higher levels, raising/lifting from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transporting a load up to 75 lbs.
Preferred Requirements
- 5-10 years of relevant I/E experience (gas processing facilities, compressor stations, refineries, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of calibration of various instrumentation such as: pressure transmitters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, RTD’s, pressure and level switches, flow transmitters, and control valves.
- Knowledge of PLC’s, programming (function blocks or ladder logic), and Allen Bradley or Honeywell DCS systems.
- Knowledge of Compressor panel boards and annunciators.

- Company vehicle provided.
- Ability to work outside with some physical labor.
- Available 24/7 for emergency situations. This is an on-call position.
- Preferably reside within a 50 mile radius of primary work area.
- Wages will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
