Are you interested in making your own schedule and helping elderly, blind or disabled individuals remain safely in their own home? If you answered yes to the above questions then being a care provider on the San Joaquin County IHSS Public Authority Registry may be the perfect fit for you!

If you are accepted to the Registry, we will refer you to IHSS Recipients based on your availability and how your application matches the clients’ needs. The clients will make all interviewing and hiring decisions. There is no guarantee of referrals to IHSS Recipients, to interviews, or to hiring.

Employment is not guaranteed.

Pay: $16 per hour; overtime (must be approved) $24

Job Location: Stockton, Lodi, Linden, Manteca, Tracy, Ripon, Escalon, Lathrop, French Camp, Galt

Requirements:

- Submit Registry Application

- Pass a background check

- Have a State driver’s license or Government issued ID

- Have a SSC and if necessary proof of authorization to work in the U.S.

- Complete online orientation and union meeting

- Attend a registry meeting via the phone

Each recipient is assessed and will be given a certain amount hours based on what they are approved for. Some of the services may include, but are not limited to:

- Meal prep and clean up

- Personal care

- House cleaning

- Laundry

- Shopping
