We’re looking for an Illustrator to join Lemonade’s in-house Creative team.

You’ll work with our team of designers, animators, writers, and fellow illustrators to create on-brand illustrations for marketing campaign ads, organic content, and presentation materials. We may be an insurance company, but we’re uncommonly obsessed with style and branding. Creating bespoke and dynamic illustrations while adhering strictly to our style guidelines is the core of this role.

The starting base range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.

In this role you’ll

• Design new characters, stories, and scenes, then bring them to life in ad campaigns, product features, and presentations
• Conceptualize surprising and delightful ideas for illustrations
• Brainstorm concepts for how to best communicate Lemonade’s USPs and brand messages
• Solve strategic challenges with top-quality creative
• Work with designers and animators to help bring concepts to life
• Help elevate all Lemonade’s advertising communication

What you’ll need

• 3+ years experience as an illustrator with a studio, creative agency, or in-house team
• A shareable portfolio of work that shows your skillset
• Mastery of Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator
• Strong understanding of composition, perspective, and storytelling
• Close attention to detail (every bezier curve matters!)
• Capable to set up vector files for animation
• Ability to work in an office environment
• Experience with graphic design or animation is a bonus
