INTERVIEWING NOW for a 2nd Shift Printing Technician - Lewistown, PA area!

UCT is currently looking for a Printing Technician that has a positive attitude, an attention to detail and a willingness to learn! This is a great entry level position. Any screen or pad printing machinery experience is a plus! If you know how to use basic hand tools, and can take direction well this could be a good fit. TRAINING IS PROVIDED!

Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30 pm-10:45 pm (2nd shift)

Summary

The core responsibility of the Printing Technician is to manage the daily operation of all print machines.

Printing:

• Ability to operate pad printing and silk screening machines
• Frequently monitor quality of finished product
• Consistently observe the function of the printers
• Take samples to quality control for analysis
• Operate printing machine according to schedule by Department Supervisor
• Produce product at projected goal
• Responsible for controlling department inventory, such as ink thinner and related products and advise Supervisor when levels are low
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and wear proper protection.
• Provide a record of each day’s production of job orders
• Regular maintenance of the print machines and immediately notify Supervisor of any problems that arise
• Make imprints for screens which requires some computer knowledge

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work independently but recognize when help is needed.

Education and Experience Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with screen or pad printing machinery is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to perform work while seated for prolong periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, occasionally
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must wear protective gear as provided and must go through safety training upon start.

Physical Environment: laboratory; Must be able to adjust to temperature controlled environment. Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals does exist.
