Indiana Connections Career Academy (INCC) is a tuition-free, virtual public school for students in grades 6-12 throughout Indiana. INCC was developed with a strong focus on career readiness, and CTE offerings, and offers students programs of study in one of six in-demand career pathways. INCC is authorized by Ball State University and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Indiana Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Indiana, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Connections Academy, a division of Connections Education, is accredited by AdvancED.

Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain working partnerships with colleges, CTE service centers, CTE professional organizations, state CTE representatives, and CTE-related industry and business advisory groups.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of State Counseling and school administrators to determine appropriate CTE pathways/career clusters and dual credit options.
- Work with the data manager to ensure that class data and INTERS data are correct and entered by key dates.
- Coordinate the development, expansion, and administration of CTE dual credit programs in accordance with guidelines and standards established by the State of Indiana.
- Coordinate and provide guidance on High School, College, grant program requirements, and other factors while providing clear, timely, and concise information to stakeholders.
- Follow graduating students for 5 years and collect post-secondary career data.
- Work directly with students and families to coordinate career events, field experiences, and visits to CTE service centers and dual credit campuses.
- Develop, promote, and participate in public relations/advocacy initiatives within the Indiana business community to maximize the programs, opportunities, and access for our high school students.
- Participate in accreditation processes and ensures adherence to national and state standards and accreditation requirements; determines, catalogs, tracks, maintains, and updates necessary compliance documentation.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of CTE teachers.
- Ensure that CTE teachers have the necessary training and materials to improve student engagement and success.
- Work independently and cooperatively with marketing, enrollment, and administration team to assist with web content, preparation of publications, and in-person/virtual promotion of the school.
- Remain current through self-directed professional reading and attending statewide meetings, professional development, and trainings.
- Analyze cost requirements and make budget recommendations. Maintain requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips and method of payment records for all purchases and expenses. Submit budget amendments as needed throughout the year.
- Conduct needs assessments, program review and evaluation, identify and progress monitor key indicators for success, and create CTE improvement plans.
- Arrange and supervise Work Based Learning programs.
- Encourage and support the development of innovative instructional programs, including STEM/Project-based-learning, helping teachers to pilot such efforts when appropriate.
- Develop and implement parent programs focusing on building awareness of careers, certifications, pathways, and post-secondary training.
- Create career programming that bridges the middle grades to high school.
- Prepare and present program information and data to various stakeholders.
- Participate in and articulate CTE program vision and goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in school administration, counseling, or CTE instruction
- Valid Indiana CTE Director License
- Track record of relationship-building within the Indiana CTE and business community
