POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for establishing, developing and managing efficient policies, processes, and practices to achieve HFCU’s Indirect Lending and Leasing objectives; in alignment with the organizations Mission, Vision, and Core Values. The Indirect Lending Manager is responsible for supporting the Indirect Lending Team and to manage the daily operations of the Indirect Lending Department. The Indirect Lending Manager will focus on ensuring service level standards are met or exceeded related to both departmental and organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with dealers/leasing partners, members (internal and external), and colleagues.
- Conduct site visits to manage relationships, providing feedback and expectations for service level agreements, member service satisfaction, and loan volume commitments.
- Supervise, train and evaluate Indirect Lending staff’s production and service through observations, coaching, and action planning.
- Evaluate and Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Oversee employee development providing consistent feedback, coaching, and development planning.
- Analyze and evaluate department operations to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency; making appropriate process/procedure enhancements.
- Oversee and manage the performance standards of dealership partners/Indirect Leasing program partners.
- Monitor and manage department progress towards meeting or exceeding established goals/objectives through effective action planning, coaching and mentoring of staff.
- Provide timely and accurate administrative support including updating loan data in the system, assembling documentation for member loans, reviewing applications, and verifying information for indirect loans.
- Monitor loan activity within Indirect Lending to ensure profitable and sound business practices.
- Assists Senior Management in maintaining and preparing reports to help drive processing/funding efficiencies.
- Communicate with Senior Management and lending team to ensure consistency and compliance in all areas of loan or lease process, closing, funding and service standards.
- Provides team with support with member service escalations, assisting with and/or solving complex issues. Reports member deficiencies/inquires/request to Senior Management, as appropriate.
- Willingness to be available for urgent matters escalated by Indirect Lending Team and vendors, as needed, providing direction and support
- Consistently review and recommend changes to improve workflow, efficiency, and quality.
- Monitor industry trends in the Indirect Lending market and make timely recommendations regarding pricing, dealer reserve structure, new products, underwriting criteria, and markets for development in order to ensure program/product profitability and success.
- Develop and manage policies and procedures related to IDL as well as updating already established IDL policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or requested. _________________________________________________________________
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: 2 year college degree preferred (preferably in business, finance or accounting) plus three to five years of experience in Loan Processing/underwriting; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting principles, underwriting and compliance guidelines, and good communication skills.
This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.
Experience Required: Experience using P.C. based software including Microsoft Word
and Excel.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to project a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematics Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Language Ability: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; to read at a slow rate; define unfamiliar words in dictionaries for meaning, spelling, and pronunciation.
Ability to write complex sentences, using proper punctuation, and use adjectives and adverbs.
Ability to communicate in complex sentences; using normal word order with present and past tenses; using a good vocabulary.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers, clients, customers, and the general public.
