Your Tasks:

  • Responsible for the overall success of the Industrial Engineering department to launch production processes for new customer projects that are on time and cost competitive.
  • Regular reporting of industrialization department and project status to upper management.
  • New processes or improving current processes must be either to internal standards or must demonstrate internal best practice.
  • Focus on training personnel from different areas following principles of MAHLE Production System
  • Maintain and support functions involving the plant layout, product costs, labor standards, Process Flow Diagrams, Work Instructions, etc.
  • Must be able to identify opportunities of improvement, bring the Team and run Kaizen on the Value Stream according the needs to improve costs and productivity.
  • Work with the Industrialization team to improve work and material flow, increasing plant throughput.
  • Provide input for developing new manufacturing cell layouts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills:

  • B.S. in Engineering required; M.S. in Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with standard work, cycle time creation (ie MTM), line balancing, and capacity planning
  • Experiences with lean manufacturing, TPM, Takt Time, SMED, VSM, Kanban, JIT, 5s
  • Experience working with AutoCAD (Solidworks a plus)
  • Experience brazing, welding, assembly, and leak testing processes a plus (heat exchanger processing experience).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational aptitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess strong computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, CAD programs, Visual Basic, etc.).
