Job description
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Embrace the safety culture by working safely, following management of change procedures and OSHA regulations, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise.
- Provide emergency, scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during production and/or on-call.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Understands rubber processing and is capable of diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments to mold presses.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility.
- Reference schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches and machine tool testing procedures to perform required maintenance and service.
- Maintain work orders, report logs, spreadsheets, and team improvement boards.
- Use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; two-year certificate from college or technical school preferred
- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training on electrical and hydraulics; or equivalent combination of education and experience plus good math skills
- Forklift operator certification
- Knowledge of PLC controls and ability to perform troubleshooting
- Basic Electrical Safety knowledge
- Strong knowledge of national, state, and/or local electrical codes
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel
