Industrial Services Technician

What’s involve in this Position:

Use manual tools (shovels, rakes, scrapers, squeegees, brooms) to clean industrial facilities

• Operator water blasting, ice blasting, media blasting and chemical cleaning systems
• Perform yard, shop, equipment maintenance and housekeeping assignments
• Complete site-specific documentation and duties as assigned by crew leader or supervisor
• Ensure equipment and company property is maintained in proper condition
• Travel as necessary to assigned job sites which may include multiple overnight assignments

Our Minimum Requirements for this Position:

• Ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment
• Able to communicate with team members and on-site customer representatives effectively and professionally
• Able to troubleshoot equipment and perform minor repairs as the need arises
• 40 Hr. HAZWOPER Training preferred but is not required

Essential Physical Functions/Requirements of the Job:

• Ensure that health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Distinguish emergency signals and instructions while on duty
• Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters
• Must be able to wear protective clothing such as respirators, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, etc.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work from stationary platforms from elevated heights and confined spaces
• Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
