SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Information Systems Engineer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP has immediate need for full-time Engineering professional with an active secret clearance based at our Newport, RI customer site as an Information Systems Engineer. The selected applicant will perform work to assist with the design and management of DoD systems. Tasks will include analysis, specification, and/or development of methods to certify that the systems under evaluation are properly designed and configured. This position will mostly have regular business hours, some travel will be required.

Candidates must meet baseline eligibility for Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) at the DoD 8570 Information Assurance Manager, Level I (IAM-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 65 or 67. (An example of an industry certification meeting this requirement is CompTIA’s Security+ credential.)

Desired Skills:

• Experience with System Engineering, and Test & Evaluation processes.
• Understanding of the application of policy, process, and technical controls to mitigate risks.
• Experience with Submarine Federated Warfare Systems (SWFTS), detailed networking architecture management, and current Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions is a plus.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Information Systems Program Management a plus.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) is required. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy "C" School) and 6 years’ experience in military systems (e.g., service abroad a naval ship) with an additional 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering can be substituted a Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of related experience

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
