You will manage the day-to-day operations and effectiveness of security-related programs and initiatives; assesses the costs associated with potential threats and solutions required to eliminate or minimize threats. Applies specific functional knowledge; working/general industry knowledge. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance; may review or guide activities of more junior employees.

As an information systems security officer, you’ll work with Cyberdefense teams to discover their Cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and analyze the development of a mitigation plan. You’ll get technical, environmental, and personnel details from SMEs and engineers to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll help your team guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You’ll monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.

Qualifications:
- One (1+) years of experience with Information Technology
- Active DoD secret clearance or higher
- HS Diploma or GED
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Candidate will need to pass a background investigation
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with numerous IT functions, including the management of a VMware environment, Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline, networking hardware or software, and Windows Server 2012
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures to provide post-ATO support to maintain compliance
Knowledge of the DoD’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 guidelines
