No tech degree? No prior tech experience? No problem. Franklin is seeking outstanding candidates like you who are ready to take your first steps into a tech career. We have an immediate need in the Dallas, TX area for enthusiastic Technology Apprentices. 

Franklin Candidates walk a guided path to develop the technical and professional skills employers are looking for, without having to pay anything out of pocket. Our proven, structured “pre-apprenticeship” approach will have you prepped and pre-qualified to hit the ground running as an apprentice, with a starting salary that is higher than many college graduates.

This is how it works:

• Take a scientific assessment to find out if a tech career is a fit for you

• Complete our virtual foundational training program on your own time, at no cost to you and earn foundational credentials.

• Participate in interview and resume prep sessions to prepare for interviews at some of the nation’s largest and most respected employers.

After earning our foundational credentials, about half of our candidates are matched with Franklin employers as paid apprentices while others find jobs independently. 

Some topics included in the online courses are:

• Introduction to Computer Science

• Network Concepts

• Network Security

• System Programming on IBM Z®

• Coding and writing simple programs

Candidates who do well in apprenticeships need:

• A strong desire for a long-term career in IT

• Passion for learning

• The time for self-study to complete our virtual, pre-apprenticeship training program (80-100 hours)

• Personal experience and interest in working with technology

• Pleasant personality, open to problem solving while building relationships

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
