INTRODUCTION
Responsible for the direction, coordination and overall leadership activities of the computerized management
information systems (IT) department by performing the installation, operation and maintenance of computer
hardware, operating systems, and data communications related to casino gaming and business operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct and supervise support systems on backups, report distribution, problem resolution, and
administration of computer security functions and related tasks.
2. Assign, supervise and review the work of department employees. Monitor the work of contracted providers
while working with Kla-Mo-Ya Casino.
3. Develop and implement standards and operating procedures of all computers and computer systems.
Monitor for compliance with approved standards and operating procedures.
4. Install, maintain, repair and program on-line computers and ancillary equipment and components
associated with electronic VLT data, Accounting, Auditing, Table Games, and Food and Beverage systems.
5. Supervise the use of computer resources and provide proactive capacity planning for resources.
6. Keep informed about state of the art computer equipment, and suggest appropriate implementation of new
systems.
7. Consult with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional
operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment
acquisitions.
8. Monitor the installation, preventative maintenance and minor repairs on PCs, printers, terminals and data
communications equipment.
9. Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs
and hardware.
10. Manage computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
11. Develop, maintain and test disaster recovery plans.
12. Comply with Kla-Mo-Ya Casino’s internal control policies and procedures as they pertain to this position,
and provide confidentiality of all Kla-Mo-Ya Casino operations data.
13. Develop and implement an effective anti-virus program for all computer assets.
14. Exercise full range of supervisory duties for department staff and program activities, which include
evaluations and providing clear direction for all program staff.
15. Other related duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Skill in maintaining and trouble-shooting computer software including PC’s, peripherals, and data
- Knowledge of networking systems administration, and database management.
- Knowledge of PC operating systems software.
- Ability to provide leadership within the department in the areas of hardware and data communication
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and writing in order to express himself/herself in a clear
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work. Must have the knowledge and ability to
- Ability to perform tasks which require lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information pertinent to the nature of the work.
ADDITIONAL & COVID-19 MITIGATION DUTIES
1. Adheres to Casino standards for guest service and confidentiality.
2. Refers guest problems or complaints to appropriate supervisors according to Casino policies.
3. Reports and documents any observed or known safety hazard, conditions or unsafe practices and
procedures to management immediately
4. Manages IT office COVID mitigation and sanitation including, counters, desk, coffee stations, and all other
touch surfaces.
5. Manages availability and use of appropriate PPE requirements for IT Office employees including mask,
and COVID stringent cleaning supplies.
6. Assist with the development of COVID mitigation related IT processes and procedures.
7. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Kla-Mo-Ya Casino Corp. General Manager who provides
general instructions. Work is assigned in terms of functional/corporation objectives. The supervisor assists with
unusual situations that do not have clear precedents or when clarification or interpretation of policies/regulations are
in question.
Assignments are performed according to various established procedures using set standards. New assignments are
provided in detail, as well as changes in current procedures. The supervisor will provide general instructions on
policy and/or procedure changes and reporting requirements and will set overall objectives and properties.
Employee performs daily assignments independently, resolving normal questions and problems according to
established procedures and past experience and precedent. Unusual, new or complex assignments which require
direction from past experience or precedents are discussed with supervisor; however, employee exercises initiative
in solving problems by researching answers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Associates Degree in Business Information Systems or related field or additional experience may be
substituted in a year-to-year basis for the degree, REQUIRED.
Four (4) years technical computer experience working with Microsoft Servers, and Windows programming,
embedded systems development or object oriented programming, REQUIRED
One (1) year demonstrated IT management experience in Casino environment, REQUIRED.
Successfully demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the position duties. REQUIRED.
Must submit to and clear an Alcohol/Drug Screen. REQUIRED
Must submit to and clear an extensive Criminal Background/Licensing check. REQUIRED
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. REQUIRED
Must be Licensable by the Klamath Tribes Gaming Regulatory Commission. REQUIRED
Indian Preference will apply.

All Team Members are required under The Klamath Tribes’ Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy to be fully
vaccinated for COVID-19, unless they have an approved medical or religious exemption. In addition, All Team
