Sunrise Technologies is seeking a Jr. Infrastructure Specialist to join our growing IT Team in Winston Salem, NC. This high-performing individual will report to the Infrastructure Manager and will be responsible for asset & license management, creation of distribution lists, management of user accounts, and incident troubleshooting. This position is hybrid (remote/in-person).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in person, by phone, or via email to internal users of computer applications and hardware to troubleshoot and repair software, hardware, and network issues; some on-call support required
  • Complete setup, deployment, and upgrades of IT equipment such as laptops and iPhones
  • Manage and collaborate with other IT and ERP functions including network services, software systems and/or application development to maintain and restore service and/or identify problems
  • Escalate issues and requests in a timely manner to management that are not able to be resolved
  • Provide feedback on projects, issues, hurdles, solutions, and recommendations to IT management to ensure the best possible solutions are being implemented
  • Keep up with the latest trends in technology, while maintaining current up-to-date knowledge on existing technology, to provide best possible support and help identify new technologies for increased features and value
  • Educate users on basic system and computer functions, policies, and procedures
  • Identify trends by tracking events and patterns of recurring problems and escalate to assist in identifying root cause and mitigate future issues surrounding the same structural problems
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field, GPA: 3.0+ required
  • Experience providing support for a wide variety of Microsoft solutions including Windows 11 and Microsoft O365
  • Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate at a self-driven pace
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in a network, infrastructure, help desk, or IT support role
  • Experience supporting Apple mobile products (iOS)
  • Familiarity with Azure support, primarily with Azure Active Directory
