This Joint Commission-accredited hospital is seeking an Inpatient Staff Pharmacist who will partner with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to evaluate optimal drug therapy options, choosing the treatment with minimal side effects while remaining cost-effective.
The pharmacist will perform regular patient rounds, providing appropriately compounded medications for patient administration while monitoring patient reactions to the current stage of their therapy treatment plan.

Responsibilities for the Inpatient Clinical Hospital Pharmacist :
- Oversee Pharmacy Technicians while preparing intravenous admixtures and compounding, packaging, and labeling medications
- Perform patient rounds to monitor drug therapies, dispense daily doses to nurses for administration, and provide IV compounded medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, including pharmacy staff, nurses, and physicians, to treat patients by reviewing clinical status and available care plan options
- Consult with patient care teams for recommendations of alternative therapies, taking into consideration of side effects, drug allergies, and interactions with current treatment within a patient's care plan
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences BSPS required; Pharm. D. is a plus
- Valid Pharmaceutical License in the state of New York
- 2+ years of experience in clinical inpatient pharmacy care required; PGY-1 residency is strongly preferred
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist BCPS or related certification
- Working knowledge and experience with inpatient medication and proper guidelines
