Radio Systems Corporation is seeking an Inside Sales Associate for our satelite office in Richmond Virginia! The role of the Inside Sales Associate is to increase sales of all Category products, through additional product placement, customer retention as well as by generating new sales/customers through cold calling, tradeshow leads, customer inquiries and additional lead generation avenues. Training will be onsite for the first few weeks in Glen Allen VA followed by a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days) in office. Salary range is $45,000-$50,000 for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to get their feet wet in sales in a highly growing industry.

What you will do on the Sales Team

  • Make and receive telephone sales calls from current and new customers
  • Increase revenue through opportunity, cross and up selling
  • Focused on customer retention and acquiring new customers through cold calling, tradeshow leads, customer inquiries and additional lead generation avenues as applicable
  • Exhibits and provides exemplary sales and customer service skills
  • Work with Domestic Sales Managers to meet/exceed monthly individual and team sales goals through a collaborative effort to increase SKU placement through all channels
  • Represents RSC by attending retail tradeshows and veterinary conferences
  • Works as a liaison and as an inside partner with the outside Domestic Sales Account Managers
Requirements:
  • 1 years + of previous sales or customer service experience
  • Some college or 2-4 college degree preferred
  • Maintain working knowledge of our products and take initiative to learn about new products
  • Proficient in Excel and Word; knowledge of PowerPoint and Salesforce preferred
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as be self-motivated (hybrid work model of 2-3 days in office and rest work from home office). Must have home office work environment inclusive of internet/quiet workspace/etc).
  • Some traveling is required. May require 1 to 2 tradeshows annually.

Accountabilities:

  • Must meet/exceed individual and/or team sales goals - Goal of averaging 25-30 outgoing sales/cold calls a day.
  • Source own leads within your assigned territory using, search engines, social media outlets and word of mouth.
  • Collaborate with fellow Inside Sales and Domestic/International Sales Managers to achieve/exceed individual and team sales goals, maximizing sales through increased sku placement as well as new customer acquisition
