Insights Analyst (remote possible)

Equitable is seeking an Insights Analyst, to play a key role in the Data, Analytics, and Insights organization supporting the Insights teams. The Analyst will be responsible for designing market research survey and delivering valuable insights. You should be an energetic, curious, collaborative person who is interested in proactively driving results through data.

Key Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Contribute to the development of measurement and research plans and strategies
• Skilled with requirement gathering and documentation of requirement specification for reporting and research efforts
• Help design and develop market research surveys in support of internal clients' strategic priorities and business decisions
• Programs surveys for department run projects using in-house survey development tool. Helps manage outside vendors as needed
• Assists with research initiatives including both qualitative & quantitative from both primary and secondary sources
• Analyze research data for specific projects and use cases, with an eye to uncover insights that can drive the business

The base salary range for this position is $67,000 to $97,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Equitable Pay and Benefits: Equitable Total Rewards Program

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in insurance/research/financial services/consumer/retail/marketing or other quantitative fields
• Knowledge of strategic marketing, media, including both quantitative tracking and ad effectiveness research methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree with major in mathematics, economics, statistics, business analytics, or something related to research and data analytics
• Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and set and meet deadlines
• Enthusiastic, detailed oriented, upbeat, and very responsive
• Thrives in a team environment but also capable of performing independently
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. Pro-active, anticipating needs and staying out ahead of them
• Working knowledge of statistical analytics software, such as Q software or SPSS
• Working knowledge of insurance business and industry dynamics preferred
• Knowledge of survey programming, particularly Qualtrics, is a plus

• Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques and processes; ability to gather and analyze data on the learning needs of a target population.
• Market Research: Knowledge of market research; ability to collect, collate and analyze information about existing or potential markets and market needs.
• Storytelling: Knowledge of concepts and ability to plan, create and present business proposals, initiatives and ideas by storytelling actual business scenarios that are situation-specific, engaging, memorable and persuasive as compared to one-way, fact-based presentations.
