We are in search of an experienced QA Inspector with a background in Solar, Construction, or any related trade. If you are open to learning, coachable, and self-motivated we want you on our team and would like to see you bloom in this Industry. (Both new entry and experienced Inspection Technician)

Position Summary

As an Inspection Technician, your responsibilities will include, performing high-quality post and pre-solar inspections, adjusting corrections, and communicating and building rapport with city inspectors to build long-lasting relationships. Our end goal is to provide excellent high-quality PV system installs to our customers with the end result of Customer satisfaction.

In addition, you may be given other assignments as directed by your supervisor or necessitated by the business needs of the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid state driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Construction or related trade experience is a plus
  • Background check required
  • QA - QC - Inspection experience
  • Ability to travel to surrounding cities and counties
  • Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Experience in the Solar Industry:1+ year preferred
  • Experience or knowledge with electrical components is a plus
  • Willingness to learn
  • Basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work well independently and within a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to and from job sites
  • Site Surveys
  • Coordinate and confirm inspection visits with city/county inspectors and homeowners
  • Inspect roofs for high quality and efficient solar installation
  • Review the installation completion reports, prepare and complete installation punch list items
  • Ability to adjust needed corrections during the inspection
  • Facilitate inspections are compliant with OSHA and CAL OSHA
  • Clarify plans and specifications and collaborate with AHJ inspectors as necessary
  • Take photos of junction boxes when needed
  • Apply paint where needed, carefully
  • Apply stickers to solar systems where needed
  • Build rapport and communicate efficiently with city inspectors
  • Set up and tie off ladders for the city/county inspectors
  • Open electrical
  • Trenching as needed
  • Ground rods
  • Communicate issues, determine and provide solutions to back office
  • Move combiner boxes
  • Ability to balance multiple duties
  • In addition, you may be given other assignments as directed by your supervisor or necessitated by the business needs of the Company.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb ladders, and stairs, work on residential rooftops
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight
  • Ability to work in extreme weather-conditioned environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
