This is a full time hourly position as an Smart Home Device installation technician in our Bandera Integrated Services division. The pay rate ranges from $16/hr to $22/hr depending on experience. Your success in this role and growth in our company is dependent upon your ability to learn the installation processes, maintain our standards and production levels, as well as work well within our team’s core values..
Previous experience that would benefit candidates are: Electrician, HVAC tech, Audio Video Tech, Security or Fire Alarm tech, Property Maintenance, Handyman or similar skill set
Tasks to be performed:
* Installation of IOT smart technology in residential and commercial properties. The devices needed for installation and configuration are smart locks, smart thermostats, smart sensors and a hub among other devices.
* Pairing all devices to the hub using an app on your phone or tablet.
* Preparing the workspace for the install - blankets covering work areas, building kits, testing existing equipment before removal to ensure functionality such as locks and thermostats.
*Our top priority is client satisfaction and that means leaving our workspace cleaner than we found it..
* Capturing daily notes in our service app to document what work was completed and if any issues were encountered.
Some of the requirements to perform this type of work:
* Can stand, stoop, squat, walk, climb stairs up and down, for a full work day.
* Is able to lift at least 50 lbs safely.
* Your team will move at a fast and steady pace, you will have to do the same.
* Ability to adapt to different temperatures, rain and snow when working outdoors if it is safe to do so.
* Comfortable climbing and working on ladders up to 8’ in height.
* Proper and safe use of basic power tools: a drill, electric screwdriver, Dremel, and similar tools.
*Proper and safe use of their own basic hand tools - screwdrivers, wire strippers/cutters, knives, bubble level and other miscellaneous tools.
* Clear communication with your team and field supervisor.
* Arrives on time each and every day ready to work.
* Wearing PPE, face mask, gloves, and shoe covers at all times while on property.
* We travel 80% of the time.
* We have projects all across the US. You will travel to those locations for the scheduled projects. Company transportation is available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
