The Karen M. Swindler Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for one or more part-time temporary Instructor, Lecturer or Senior Lecturers to teach the Spring 2023 semester. Successful applicants will have a master’s degree or an earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment. Successful candidates will be required to teach core chemical engineering courses, laboratories or other courses as assigned. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. The position may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon performance, department need, funding and student enrollment.
The Karen M. Swindler Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) offers curriculum toward B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Approximately 140 students are enrolled in the CBE undergraduate program and 40 students in the CBE graduate programs. CBE moved into new facilities in 2011.
