Job description

General duties: This position will develop, implement, validate, and maintain instructional and courseware development training and course material at the 319th Combat Training Squadron (CTS), Peterson SFB CO, for the instructor qualification course and other courses as assigned.

Design and develop training with the following attributes:

· Provide classroom instruction consistent with Instructional System Design (ISD) satisfying government training requirements

· Coordinate development and design of media used in the lessons created by the Subject Matter Expert (SME)

· Interface with internal and external agencies as required maintaining up-to-date training program

· Research existing course content and propose new or updated course materials, which apply best practices and principles of adult learning

· Design and develop lessons, certification criteria, exercises, case studies, briefings, testing, feedback, evaluations, and other learning activities in support of the instructor qualification course

· Coordinate ISD activities with the division chief, training managers, and government training personnel

· Remain apprised of emerging best practices in academia with a willingness to implement change

· Additional duties as assigned

Required Skills

Experience Required:

• Possess working knowledge and experience with designing new lesson plans, re-designing existing lesson plans, and updating courses

• Demonstrated experience conducting curriculum needs assessment

• Demonstrated experience with current learning models, research theories, technologies and innovations in the field of learning

• Possess working knowledge and experience with designing platform instruction, web-based training courses, self-paced training courses, and blended courses

• Demonstrated experience working on and managing instructional design projects following the USAF ISD model

• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or similar joint instructor course preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

• Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

Required Experience

Education Required:

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in relevant field or a bachelor’s degree with 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirement

Years of Experience:

• 4 years of experience with USAF/USSF training, to include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model and training records keeping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
