Job description

Technical degree/certification preferred, minimum of three (3) years instrument engineering experience in petro-chemical industry, plan, design, and complete the assigned project to meet the schedule.

The major areas of job description as below:

1) Ability to prepare instrument engineering documents, such as instrument index, instrument

specification and detail engineering design documentation etc.

2) Ability to read and implement in designs: P&ID, scope of work, and other construction documents.

3) Ability to review and understand piping ISO, specification and layout drawings.

4) Capable to prepare instrument construction bid packages based on field walk-downs and customer’s

requirements.

5) Able to read and follow NEC code, specifications and standards.

6) Ability to review and implement vendor package unit drawings and documents in instrumentation

construction designs of mechanical package equipment.

7) Able to use Auto-Cad, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point for documentation, reports, and work

tracking.

8) Capable to review vendor proposals and clarify scope breaks for use in designs.

9) Capable to work together with Operations, Department engineer, and vendors to complete

instrument engineering design documents.

10) Prepare construction package for bidding.

11) Capable to support field construction job, assist in resolution of design conflicts between disciplines

and/or installation issues, and work with other disciplines as-required.

12) Attend project meetings, field surveys, report project status to manager.

13) Apply good communication skills in verbal and writing.

14) Interact with vendors, contractors, and customers.

15) Capable to realize and suggest cost saving / value added methods..

16) Capable to set individual goals and achieve the expectations.

17) Perform special projects and/or other duties as-assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
