Under general supervision, responsible for providing a complete range of assigned welding services in all Laboratory environments.
You Will:
- Operates all types of welding equipment including MIG, TIG, conventional electric, conventional gas apparatus or programmable welding devices.
- Applies equipment to welding a variety of metals such as iron, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Sets up and uses appropriate equipment to provide a timely, cost effective and high-quality service.
- Maintains required certifications to ensure competence in such areas as the welding of vacuum or pressure vessels/lines.
- Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties as assigned and in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
- Contribute effectively within a diverse workforce and upholds Fermilab’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
We Are Looking For:
- Technical School background experience with optimally 3 – 5 years of experience preferred
