Bell Brothers has an immediate need for an Insulation Installer. The ideal candidate should have exceptional multi-tasking skills. While candidates with construction experience are preferred, we will train any person who is willing to work hard and take pride in your craft. In this role, you will install blown-in cellulose/fiberglass insulation systems into residential attics. You must be capable of performing physical work both indoors and outdoors. Successful candidates are organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. This is an hourly, non-exempt, at-will position located in Sacramento, CA. Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review your daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all product(s), tools and equipment for the day
• Safely load and unload insulation materials
• Conduct assessments of homes to determine the feasibility of insulation installation
• Responsible for all aspects of installing company products according to work order, manufacturer, quality and safety guidelines
• Must understand the materials and what they’re used for
• Install blockings and other safety measures to mitigate hazardous conditions
• Prepare surfaces for insulation application applying adhesives or by attaching metal pins to surfaces
• Complete prep work for installation, may include foaming penetrations, caulking gaps, installing baffles, etc.
• Load blower machine with fiberglass, cellulose; regulate flow of materials.
• Install blown-in cellulose/ fiberglass insulation
• Blow to appropriate depth/density
• Install vapor and air barriers as needed
• Use common hand tools such as knives, scissors, saws, and staple guns
• Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, sealants, tape, or cement.
• Complete detailed work orders for each job
• Record materials used for inventory control purposes
• Properly maintain equipment and tools
• Complete all tasks in accordance with Bell Brothers quality and safety standards
• Ensure clean job site

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business
• Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
• Blown-In / Spray foam is very similar to painting. Painting experience would be a plus.
• Looking for good workers with good attitudes!
• Must be able to use a staple gun, hammer, utility knife, and work on scaffolding
• Must be able to track material and time used on each job and submit paperwork daily.
• Must be able to communicate by text and phone with supervisors and Jobsite superintendents.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Regularly required to lift and/or move objects up to 75 lbs.
• Regularly required to ascend/descend ladders and balance.
• Must be able to work on feet all day.
• Must be able to work in attics and sub-floor areas.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
• Must be able to perform manual labor a full day and work with Insulation.
• Be able to stand, bend, kneel, climb a ladder and work in confined spaces.

GROOMING REQUIREMENTS:

• Once hired, all employees must maintain a well-groomed appearance (i.e., a business-like haircut, clean shaven (no facial hair), and no visible tattoos).
