POSITION SUMMARY
Provides team-oriented direct behavioral health clinical treatment in a primary medical care setting to a variety of individuals which may include children/adolescents, adults and geriatric.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assesses patients to determine appropriate level of treatment in accordance with relevant ethical and legal standards
2. Provides services appropriate to age-specific needs of all patients in accordance with the principles of growth and development for infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric life cycles.
3. Conducts mental health screenings utilizing standardized instruments.
4. Provides PCP initiated consultation services that may include differential diagnosis, psychoeducation, brief intervention, referral for further treatment etc.
5. Consults with and advises other health care team members on methods of assisting patients and their families in overcoming social and emotional difficulties which may prevent effective health care.
6. Manages psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases.
7. Provides psychotherapy to individuals as well as groups.
8. Facilitates groups in parenting, marital relations and or stress management.
9. Creates written material for use in psychoeducation of patients.
10. Maintains accurate and timely clinical records consistent with center standards.
11. Participates in meetings, in-services and supervisory sessions as required.
12. Performs other job duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or other human services field.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Licensed in the State of Colorado as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW or LMFT.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to serve wide range of consumers, including culturally diverse populations. Knowledge of cultural issues that may have a bearing on service provision. Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately. Familiar with the DSM-IV and diagnostic techniques. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy to include basic skills in e-mail communication and word processing. Ability to travel within the Center's service area or to other locations as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,400.00 - $61,000.00 per year
