School Summary: TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA) is a tuition-free virtual public school district that employs over 190 faculty and staff, serving our diverse population of approximately 3,-000 students in Grades K12 from cities and towns across Massachusetts.TECCA is looking for an Interim Assistant Principal for our High School for a Leave of Absence beginning January 3 through June 20, 2023Position and Responsibilities: Supervise and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff members as assigned by the High School PrincipalAssists in preparing and implementing the school budgetAssists in developing high school LiveLesson scheduleAssists in recruitment, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of department personnel according to district proceduresSupervises and contributes to evaluation of high school Family Engagement CoordinatorOrganizes and supports enrollment procedures in advance of the start of school and during school yearDevelops and updates IA Guide for high school staffEstablishes and maintains the high schools master calendarResponds to instances of student misconduct, including communication with staff and caretakersSupports planning of graduation, proms, field trips, and other student activities and eventsCoordinates student assembliesOrganizes and supports substitute teachersAttends High School Leadership Team meetingsAssist teachers in developing and maintaining effective and engaging teaching methods in a virtual environmentDevelop innovative engagement strategies, preventative approaches, and proactive plans for students who exhibit at-risk behaviors or a lack of engagement in school Provide direct supervision of school-based events and programsRespond to all Caretaker, Learning Coach, and student inquiries within 24hour, including WebMails, GMails, and phone calls in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as assigned by the High School Principal
