Intramural Sports Supervisor

Job Description
Intramural Sports Supervisors are responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Supervisors must be able to implement Intramural Sports policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety. They should maintain a positive attitude on-site and should be committed to improve their officiating skills. They must be able to supervise and officiate intramural events.

Duties
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Officiate Intramural contests
  • Assist with pre- and post-game logistics and administrative functions
  • Assist with preparation and inspection of the game site
  • Understand emergency/evacuation procedures
  • Provide positive public relations, program promotion, and policy education to participants
  • Attend all officials training clinics
  • Supervise and officiate intramural events

Required Qualifications
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study determined by Financial Aid application or eligible for student employment.
Employment opportunities: This is a fall/spring position. No summer employment available.
Evaluation procedures & schedules: To be determined by the supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, use a phone. Occasional lifting of 10 lbs., reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, and a high degree of problem solving and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.

Pay Rate
9.00/hour
