Job description

Inventory Control:

  • Utilize planning techniques to predict and plan future demand on inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with business to understand needs and evaluate options for business solutions through various reporting and analysis surrounding inventory and logistics performance demand.
  • Assist Schedulers and Planners with analysis or reports and support non-standard requests for upper management.
  • Assist the Regional Key Users with activities related to software change requests, including creation and execution of testing for business functionality.
  • Support the development and rollout of End User training documentation, business process procedures, and establish training refreshers.
  • Monitor SAP Master data quality and initiate communication to correct errors and improve accuracy.
  • Support basic system configuration and help support SAP functional areas to meet business requirements and bring to resolution to business problems.
  • Participate in application testing and assist in coordinating testing with Regional and Global SAP Key users.
  • Analyze and report on inventory, manufacturing standard costs, sales trends and external risk factors to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Closely monitor and manage product lifecycles for production material to minimize inventory levels for slow moving material and prevent obsolescence. Engage purchasing as required.
  • Actively engage engineering and manufacturing to identify and address scrap obsolete material.
  • Investigate interrelation of Scrap, Inventory Control and COGI. Perform root cause analysis and corrections by enforcing cycle counts, scrap and COGI error investigation and corrections.
  • Perform root cause investigations of complex inventory discrepancies and suggest corrective actions. For example: Report on contributors of “lost & found” material in work in process.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and production control reports according to the needs of the business cycle by contributing to inventory roll ups for executive summaries, weekly recaps, and general supply chain summaries.
  • Support Advanced Planning and Projects via Plan for Every Part (PFEP), which will include safety stock, picking sizes, skid size, slotting locations, etc.
  • Reconcile negative inventory balances, issues with in-transits and, invoice issues, obsolescence and related transactions.
  • Coordinate Annual Physical Inventories with Plant Controlling, 3PLs and Warehouse providers. Assemble Annual Physical Inventory results with analysis highlighting reasons for

adjustments and the financial impact.

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 years of experience in an inventory, purchasing, logistics, distribution or supply chain related role.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of SAP is required.
  • Experience in advanced data analysis and statistics.
  • Pro-activeness / self-learner / Proven research and problem-solving skills.
  • Sense of urgency with an ability to cope with changing priorities
  • Team player - involves working with different departments
  • Very strong computer skills (excel, SAP (preferred) etc.)
  • Data driven & hands-on approach when necessary
  • Strong supply chain understanding
