Inventory Control Specialist - Production (MA)
The Inventory Control Specialist will be an internally facing role responsible for validating all virtual inventory control systems: METRC, Canold etc. This role will report directly to the Inventory and Logistics Manager, assisting with all aspects of the warehouse day to day operations including shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will execute great attention to detail, be able to take direction well and exhibit professionalism on a daily basis while working in a fast-paced environment. The Inventory Control Lead will be responsible for all aspects of materials inventory control, receiving, compliance, and storage. This role will be responsible for ensuring that materials are accurately accounted for in order to support production and product shipments. This includes planning and strategizing ordering processes, sourcing supplies, improvements to ordering efficiency, and delivery and inventory management logistics.As a member of the Inventory team, this role will assist with verification of all inventory lifecycle conversions.

Responsibilities:*
- Conduct bi-weekly audits of all products in house as well as ensuring proper reconciliation, documentation, and archival of discrepancies and audit logs
- Temporarily conduct and record all non-cannabis inventory, relaying the information to the appropriate procurement personnel
- Attend weekly meetings with all retail locations to discuss delivery dates, any short-dated inventory, products available/not available for shipment, and communicate lead times for when products will be available
- Using Inventory tracking sheets, communicate any ordering needs of packaging materials to the manager of the respective department
- Completes weekly retail order sheet on a weekly basis with accurate quantities of current inventory as applicable via METRC or Canold
- Maintain up-to-date Product Catalog for all current final cannabis units produced in the Worcester Facility
- Monitor downloaded reports from Canold system regarding current and transferred inventory
- Work in collaboration with packaging leadership in anticipation of weekly delivery schedule
- Utilize FIFO method for pulling all inventory boxes for orders
- Quantify and report on current ready-to-ship inventory quantities of all MIPs and Flower packages to be sent to retail locations in regular weekly meetings
- Record and destroy current quarantine inventory to be destroyed in accordance to the inventory schedule and state regulations
- Quantify and report on current quarantine destruction inventory to the Inventory Manager to be destroyed in accordance to the production schedule
- Procure and manifest upcoming shipments, by retail location, according to the requested quantities by each retail location’s order for the current week
- Ensure accuracy of all transport manifests developed by Temescal and incoming wholesalers, correcting as necessary
- Ensure each retail location receives completed copies of transport manifest, both METRC and Temescal Wellness
- Receive all returned manifests from the Temescal Wellness retail locations, filing appropriate documentation per location
- Ensure incoming wholesale manifest accuracy upon intake, packaging, compliance, proper fulfillment of wholesale request and virtual transfer of material into proper license(s).
- Accurately transfer products virtually through METRC to external and internal licenses
- Ensure proper communication from Delivery Driver Agents during ongoing deliveries, recording all updates and any deviations from schedule
- Train new/existing employees on Temescal’s standard operating procedures
- Remove any mislabeled, mispackaged, or damaged inventory from vault for relabeling or repackaging or converting
- Communicate and resolve with Compliance and Accounting Departments on any unaffiliated order discrepancies
- Communicate and provide recommendations to the Compliance department regarding vendor samples, QC samples, and all other regulation requirements
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate associates/specialists
- Proficiency with Windows, Google Suite, MS365, including excel, word and powerpoint
- Proficiency in METRC seed to sale software, including concrete knowledge of processing packages, identifying testing status and results, transferring packages to different licenses, editing transfers
- Excellent labeling and organizational skills
- Ability to identify inventory in METRC (ie. Product, Strain, Strain Type, Lab Testing, etc.)
- Knowledge of how to accurately complete transport manifest in METRC
- Close attention to detail and organization, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient math skills
- Ability to identify the discrepancies in METRC and Canold in comparison to physical inventory
- Ability to add packages to transport manifest
- Ability to upload documents into computer software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

Work Hours:*
The Inventory Control Specialist role is a full-time position. First shift employees will be expected to arrive for their shift starting at 7:00 am and fulfill their duties by the end of the work day at 3:30 pm.

Requirements:

2 years experience as a Warehouse or Logistics Specialist required
- Must have or be willing to get a forklift operator license
- Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High-energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Thorough knowledge of all Temescal Wellness protocols, policies and Procedures
- Experience with Metrc, state cannabis electronic tracking systems, and other cannabis-related software is a plus
- Awareness and understanding of PAR levels
- Proficient at all tasks in relation to inventory management
- Willingness to teach/train associates who need assistance
- Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
- Ability to collaborate with the production teams effectively
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Skilled in general computer operating systems and applications, including G Suite
- Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling accuracy
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Ability to bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds
- Ability to walk or stand on hard surface for extended periods
- Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, cutting and fine manipulation
